Inside the New Samantha Joy Events Office
It has been such a busy spring at Samantha Joy Events! We have been working on some great fall weddings, a birthday party and a baby shower, and had the opportunity to collaborate on some exciting styled shoots. If that wasn’t enough, we also moved into our fabulous new office downtown.
As SJE has grown over the past few years, I have dreamed of finding a place to officially call home. I knew I needed a space that was easily accessible to clients and provided continued room to grow and expand. Our new spot in the Ludlow Space Building in the Terra-Cotta Historic District is exactly that. I love that we landed in a building with some amazing history. Originally home to Hamiel’s Hat Company, this building withstood the Great Flood of 1913. Multiple businesses called it home over the years, but it was really Jeff Wray who put the time and effort into restoring this building and ensuring it was a protected historic landmark. When he passed away in 2009, a group of tenants got together to purchase the space and continue the improvements Wray had begun. That ownership group still owns the building today - entrepreneurship is everywhere in this building’s background!
From the moment you walk in to the building you can sense the history and the care that was put into the restoration. The wood floors, natural light, and architectural details are an event planners dream. I also love that this is a place where small businesses have grown and thrived for years. It is such an inspiration to me as a business owner! I was co-sharing a space with two other creative businesses, but have since moved into the newly vacant suite next door.
Now that we are all moved in, we will be available by appointment for meetings. Can’t wait to welcome you all to the new space!
