Favorite Things No. 01

Welcome to our newest series! This is a little passion project for me. I get to see and use many fun products and many I want to share with you. I haven’t found a great way to do that until now. Each month I’m going to post a round-up of my favorite items I’m crushing on lately. They will be from all corners from household, hosting, gifting, wedding, fashion, style, and decor. I’ll include a link so you can find them easily.

For quick reference, they will also live the rest of the month in the ‘Favorite Things’ corner of our shop which you can find here.

One favor I ask…tell me what you like, don’t like, what you LOVE! Tag me on IG @samanthajoyevents if you get something. Leave us a comment below so we know what you love to see and I can better craft our favorite things to what you love seeing!!!

Family Keepsake Box

Maybe it is because I’m nearly 27 week pregnant but I like the idea of keepsake boxes to keep your special family treasures or to store your family photos. We have one from our wedding that keeps all of our guests advice and I love opening it and revisiting note cards from time to time. Looking to add another for all things baby.

‘Oh Hello’ Door Mat by Olive Creative ComPany

Are you familiar with Olive Creative Co? She is a Cincinnati based designer who makes the cutest door mats with a variety of fun says on them. What a fun way to spruce up the front stoop after that New Years cleaning!

Fleece Sheets

I think your bed should be just as cute as anything else and I’m a sucker for pretty sheets. Our guest room even has 2 set up one for fall/winter and the other for spring/summer. Is there such a thing as too much blue?

Wild Rose Wall Calendar by Rifle Paper Co.

I hope paper calendars never go away. They are such a big help when you are planning out your week or month. We just switched to a paper calendar in the office for SJE to better schedule our prep and rest days for a more balanced schedule. Who doesn’t love anything paper from Rifle Paper Co.? Their Wile Rose design is just lovely!

Opulence Thank you Cards

Did you know that you should send a thank you card out within two weeks of receiving the gift? If you are recently married you should send it out within 3 months but I’ve heard up to a year. Thank you notes are great to have on hand for a few reasons, who doesn’t love a surprise in the mail that isn’t a bill, as the gift giver you know that that gift was received and this is huge, and it is a simple gesture that goes a long way to letting someone know you are grateful that they took the time and energy to get you a gift.
