Summer Night Wedding | Peterloon Estates | Cincinnati Wedding Planner

Nothing says summer to me like dinner and dancing under the stars. Light, cheerful, and relaxed - Jill and Chris’s Peterloon Estates wedding captured that easy summer night vibe. Inspired by ginger jar and chinoiserie motif patterns, their color palette was made up of crisp blues and whites. To keep things fresh and channel that summertime energy, we added pops of coral, pink, blush, and textured greens. It came together to create the perfect summertime look.

A summer night wedding means embracing the beauty of the outdoors. Chris and Jill’s ceremony was nestled in the side garden of Peterloon Estates. We filled the space with ginger pots and white and green blooms, keeping the look of the ceremony neutral. We constructed their ceremony tent from the ground up complete with a statement bar and the sweetest family table since the couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Admittedly, we were a little anxious about the timing of this outdoor soiree. Their date just happened to line up with the emergence of Brood X. But luckily, the cicadas were a nonissue and they didn’t interfere in the least.

During the design process, I spend a lot of time getting to know my clients. What is their story? What do they love? How would they describe each other? It’s so much more than colors they are drawn to or styles they like.

Why? Because we are creating more than a beautiful design. We are creating an experience that reflects who they are. Something completely unique to them! For Jill and Chris, that meant incorporating their adorable pup, Poppy. Not only did we include Poppy in the walk down the aisle, but she was also the inspiration for their signature drink!

Jill and Chris also choose to rent a vintage car for their getaway. It made for some amazing pictures and such a unique exit. Don’t be afraid to get creative for your wedding day. These are the types of unique details that will make your wedding special and truly memorable!

I loved every bit of Jill and Chris’s relaxed but elegant design. Inspired by the colors and feels of a warm summer night, this design was so much fun to pull together!
