Chelsey’s Summer Rooftop Birthday Party at The Penthaus

I absolutely love summer in the city. Sitting on a rooftop taking in the views, there is an energy you can feel. The warm nights seem to soften the city hustle and bustle, causing things to slow down in a way they don't at other times of year. For Chelsea’s Cincinnati rooftop birthday party, we wanted to capture that energy.

For her 30th birthday, Chelsea knew she wanted to go big. I love the idea of investing in an experience for a milestone birthday. A big trip, a party to gather your friends and family - invest in creating memories. They will outlast any gift you pick out.

Since we knew we wanted to have a rooftop party at The Penthuas. This Over the Rhine rooftop venue has a beautiful view of Cincinnati. Located in a 1900s bakery building, it also has tons of character and charm along with an incredible view.

Inspired by the modern lines of the Cincinnati skyline, the tabletop was set with stoneware china, a natural rattan charger, smoke black glassware, and bronze flatware. It was city chic while still capturing the warmth of a summer night on the beach.

Planning a rooftop dinner certainly comes with its challenges. We definitely had to get creative to deal with a bit of wind. But you know I absolutely love an intimate gathering with close friends and family. Creating an inviting atmosphere where guests can sip wine and share in good conversation is so life-giving!
