60th Birthday at The Penthaus | Cincinnati Event Planner
As Mark’s 60th Birthday approached, he knew something was happening, but had no idea that friends and family members from all over were flying in for an intimate dinner in his honor. The morning started with friends showing up at his house and this continued throughout the day.
Planning this event with Mark’s wife Anna was such fun! I wanted to keep the evening masculine while also bringing in fun pops of patterns. Our tablescape base was this amazing navy and orange linen find along with leather placemats that lasted through all 6 delicious courses.
The dinner was inspired by one of Anna and Mark’s favorite dates at French Laundry in Napa Valley. Chef Chris was so great to work with and Anna still has the original 12-course menu that this dinner was conceptualized from. The final course was a carrot cake birthday cake accompanied by a tasting plate of mini desserts.
And what is a party without some dancing and music? Velvet Crush rocked it with a curated playlist of songs just for them.
The party was held at Penthaus in OTR, a beautiful rooftop venue with skyline views.
The evening included speeches from each of their children and some friends along with song dedication from some of their finest memories together. They were actually such a hit that the party had to be extended!!
