Named “One to Watch” by the Knot
The Knot, a top wedding planning website, has released its inaugural list of wedding professionals who have recently risen to the top of their respective fields - titled “Ones to Watch”. The goal being to bring fresh, talented, creative outlooks to the forefront of the public eye. This year, House of Joy’s very own Creative Director & Owner, Samantha Leenheer, was named as “One to Watch”! Samantha describes her mission within planning as, “I hope to be a beacon of empathy and to tell my clients’ stories so they feel seen.”
Samantha has built her event design & planning firm from the ground up since June 2016, and she recently rebranded the company to House of Joy to encompass the growth in scope that the firm has undergone over the past year. Balancing modernity and elegance while incorporating intentional personal details, she helps each client achieve an unforgettable event. Samantha goes out of her way to make sure every sense is engaged during each event and continuously finds new ways to add individuality to her projects.
A fellow creative, Chelsey Barhorst, who frequently works alongside Samantha said, “Samantha pushes design limits. She could transform a parking garage into something whimsical.” House of Joy is so honored to be led by such a talented planner, and we are so excited for the recognition of Samantha’s extraordinary work!
