Dreamy, elegant, intimate - all things that come to mind when I think of Megan and Taylor’s wedding at the Moraine Country Club. These two got married on a perfect day in early fall and I’m still in love with every single detail.

Megan and Taylor actually met in high school. Megan was looking for a last-minute date to prom and trusted a friend to set her up. Luckily Taylor was in need of a prom date too and even though they hardly knew each other, they wound up having a great time. The random set up paid off, and they have been together ever since.

For Megan and Taylor’s design, we went with a soft and romantic color palette - blush rose, cinnamon, mauve, and salmon were balanced with soft grey and gold tones. Roses, hydrangeas, and sweet peas were incorporated into bouquets and centerpieces along with other soft blooms making each arrangement feel full and fluffy. It all came together to create a space that was light and airy, almost cloud-like.

For centerpieces, we played with height to give our design visual interest, adding some floral arrangements in compotes and others in high glass pedestals. We completed the looks with tons of gold candlesticks and small votives. I just love how the addition of candles makes a large room feel intimate. For cocktail hour, we took advantage of Moraine Country Club’s beautiful patio. We created a number of seating vignettes so guests could get comfortable, relax, and chat.

Perhaps my favorite part of the day was the ceremony backdrop. Megan and Taylor wanted to get married under a huge tree right on the edge of the golf course at Moraine Country Club. We worked with Floral V Designs to create a beautiful floral installation that wrapped the trunk and climbed into the branches. They lightly draped fabric from the branches to complete the look. It honestly felt like something out of a fairytale.

Megan and Taylor were such a fun couple to work with and adore how their design turned out. It was traditional but still modern, elegant but still bright and fun. The perfect design for this sweet couple.
